I'm trying to set up a local-server on my iMac so that I can more effectively develop WordPress themes, however, I'm running into difficulties (mainly because I have no idea what I'm doing). I understand that it is possible to do this by changing some Terminal code and implementing MySQL - I've tried and failed. I'm guessing you might know more than me. Let me know. I guess we'd either have to do this over the phone, or I'd need for you to come to my place because it's so specific to this machine. I do live downtown (Queen E/Sumach - ish).
